Mug
Mug is Reinstall Work's proprietary AI + automation workspace for companies. It's secure, encrypted, and isolated in Cloudflare. Mug includes a built-in AI agent that can use models like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, + others.
Mug connects to any software with an API and syncs data to/from sources like Airtable, Supabase, Salesforce, HubSpot, PostgreSQL, + more. We build custom plugins in Mug to do special things only your company would want.
Mug powers automated processes similar to Zapier, Make, + n8n, and can be integrated into common workplace tools like Slack, Notion, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace.
Mug is a subscription product, but fear not — it's a flat rate per workspace, not per seat.
Why Mug?
Every company that wants to build custom AI + automation needs a foundational layer of data, context, and processes that stretches across the entire company to build on top of. There wasn't a single unified platform on the market that provided that layer, so we built it.
Since the AI landscape shifts daily, we believe the foundational layer needs to stand on its own, separate from the AI model providers. This way, as new models, tools, and even entirely new providers come to market, we can simply plug them in to your company's workspace, rather than being locked in to a single provider.
Speaking of lock-in, we also believe the foundational layer should be transportable and AI-native. You should be able to export all your data from Mug, dump it into any other AI tool, and have it work. As much as we believe Mug is the best unified AI workspace for companies, one day you might disagree, and we think it's our responsibility to make every file in a Mug workspace play nice with other AI platforms.
So what is Mug?
It's like if you combined the best parts of Airtable, Notion, Zapier, + Google Drive into a unified company workspace that runs on raw markdown files and SQLite databases (AI-native), with a built-in agent that can model-swap between Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, + more, and strapped on a web app that's easy for humans to use and an MCP server that's easy for AI agents to use — except not like — that's exactly what we did.
If you have team members already using products like Claude and ChatGPT, they can integrate Mug into their existing workflows by connecting to Mug's MCP server. If you have team members that can't even spell AI, they don't even need to set up an AI account — they just use Mug's built-in agent.
Maybe most important of all — it's all secure. Every Mug workspace runs in an isolated, encrypted Cloudflare environment.
Web app
A file explorer interface that's old-fashioned in the best way. Notion's writing layer + Airtable's data tables + ChatGPT's AI chat panel.
MCP server
Any AI tool you already use — Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor — can connect directly to your Mug workspace.
Embedded agent
An always-on, model-agnostic AI agent doing housekeeping, handling requests from your team, and working exactly the way each person and team tells it to.
Org context + memory
The missing piece in every other AI platform. Map out everyone's job title, manager, and direct reports, and Mug remembers everything with persistent memory across every person and team across the org.
Databases
SQLite databases that load lightning fast, sync with external data sources, and make both data nerds and AI agents smile. Great for CRMs, HR, inventory, and anything else you'd use a spreadsheet for.
Processes
Scheduled or triggered automations carried out by Mug's agent. Written as markdown files and validated by Mug's agent as you're designing the process.
Notes + checklists
A slick writing and reading surface for taking notes, building project plans, writing SOPs, or sharing announcements across the company — all in simple markdown files that any AI agent can work with.
Full audit trail
Version history, activity feed, 90-day retention. Nothing happens in your workspace without a record.

Mug is priced per company workspace, not per user seat (1 subscription covers everybody).
Mug has 2 plan tiers. Both plans include a set amount of monthly usage credits and storage with flexible overage billing if/when your workspace needs more.
Both plans offer monthly and annual billing options (2 months free on annual billing).

Mug subscriptions are billed directly via Stripe, separate from Reinstall Work invoices.
Mug Plugins
Plugins are a way for us (or you) to add custom features and interfaces to your Mug workspace that only your company would want.
